An extremely ancient breed, of majestic appearance, the Chow Chow was originally used in China as a hunter and guard dog and, on occasion, for herding cattle or even pulling sledges. His meat was considered a delicacy, resulting in the Chow being bred for his flesh and fur, thereby earning him the name of “The Cantonese Butchers’ Dog.” As if that wasn’t bad enough, when the first Chow Chows went to England, they were kept in zoos.

Rather lion-like in appearance, the Chow Chow is a massive, powerful and imposing animal with a dense two ply coat, complete with a big ruff around his neck. His unique features include his blue-black tongue and gums, distinctive scowling expression, and peculiar stilted gait.
Independent, arrogant and curiously detached, the Chow Chow tends to be rather aloof and suspicious and not prone to giving his friendship lightly. However, when he does bestow his friendship upon you, you feel extremely privileged, knowing you have an ally for life.

Protective in the extreme, the Chow Chow makes an excellent guard dog but is generally not fond of young children. He tends to be a one person or, in some instances, one family dog. He is very strong-willed with a stubborn streak and a definite mind of his own – therefore not the ideal subject for obedience training. Training and socialization of this breed must begin at a very young age.

Developed in Germany to serve the multiple purposes of guard, working and escort dog, the Boxer is a strong, boisterous, active dog with a very positive personality. It is a very serviceable and utilitarian breed. To provide the necessary speed, dexterity and jumping ability required for the many arduous hikes, riding expeditions, plus varied police and military duty which characterized his working life, the Boxer needed to be an elegant but substantial dog of great power. This legacy has left us with a sound, no-frills animal, whose functional clean-cut lines are very pleasing to the eye.

Despite his imposing past and sombre expression, the Boxer is nevertheless the clown of the guard dogs. Although he takes his guard work very seriously, he is always ready to play – even in old age!

He enjoys as much exercise as you care to give him. Boxers can be very boisterous if left unchecked, particularly as youngsters, and obedience training is recommended. Apart from that, the Boxer’s easy-to-care-for coat and cleanliness around the house, coupled with his manageable size and the fact that he is not a noisy dog, make him a welcome addition to any household. He is usually fond of children, is highly intelligent, and very tractable.

The Bullmastiff impressies by it`s stature and strength.It has a big and wide head and a massive body.Compact and strong,this dog is described like being noble and smart.

The fur is short and shiny,dense and most times brown,sometimes with stripes.An Bullmastiff adult is around 63-69 cm high the male and 61-66 cm high the female,and a body weight of 50-60kg the male and 45-54 kg the female.

Naturally the Bullmastiff takes the role of the protective dog of the family,being devoted and tender even with kids.They feel great around houses with big yards,but can adapt to a life in an apartment if the master is able to take it for a walk pretty often.The medium life length of this dog is between 8 and 10 years.

The French Bulldog looks like a mastiff scrub with big shoulders,deep chest,thick neck and a well build muscles.The body looks like a pear,the torso is wide and the stomach is narrow.

The fur is short and shiny.It can be dark red,black ,gray or white.It`s ears are similar to the bat`s ears.It has big round dark eyes.The French Bulldog has a short nose and the upper lip gets over the lower lip.

The French Bulldog can reach up to 13kg(sometimes even bigger) and can be around 30cm high.It is an animal filled with energy and is very affective,creating strong bonds with the family.These animals are guard dogs,faithful and like spending a lot of time with their owners.They like playing with other dogs but some males can get aggressive. is also an unbeatable mice hunter.

Kuvasz is one of the best sheeps protector.

The Kucasz is hail from Tibet and many people belive it is related to the Komodor. Initialy it was used to protect the sheeps and cows. This dog was also used to hunt the boars.

Many years ago the bread spread in Europe, mostly in Hungary.

The name “Kuvasz” is a corruption of Turkish word “kavasz”. In Turkish “kavasz” mean “protector”. The Kuvasz has great makings needful for a guardian dog. It is strong, quick and agile.

The most common colors for Dalmatian is white and black for spots. Sometimes (rarely) the color of spots is blue, brindle, mosaic, orange or lemon.

Dalmatians puppies are born with white dogs, such as German Shepherd Dogs and Siberian Huskies .

Dalmatian is a dog with average waist, with a strong body and with soft hair. The breed has a short and thick hair. The spots are rounds and them appears only after 2 weeks of life. Dalmatian ears are triangular pendulous.

As a result of their history as coach dogs, the Dalmatian is very active and needs plenty of exercise. They are very fast runners, with a great deal of stamina and self-reliance. Given freedom to roam the wild, the Dalmatian will take multi-day trips on their own across the countryside. In today’s urban environment, they will not likely survive such excursions and must be contained. These qualities make them somewhat “unbreakable”, and forgiving of rough handling by children. However, it is imperative that they be socialized with children while still puppies, and also that children be taught the correct way to play with animals.

Even if it is still used in Hungary to protect sheeps, The Komondor become a very loved company dog.

During World War II, the Komodorok were used to protect military equipments. In the time many dogs have died on duty.

The Komondor temperament is like other guardian dogs. In case of trouble, it will try to defend his charges, otherwise it is a calm and steady. It is extremely gentle with the children of the family and affectionate with its family and friends. If it don’t fell the danger the Komondor will accept strangers but it will be wary with them.

The Komodorok are able-bodied and strong dogs. Male Komondorok are a minimum of 28 inches at the withers, but many are over 30 inches tall, making this one of the larger common breeds of dog

Komondors don’t suffer many heredity problems. Maybe because the breed has descended from centuries of hardy working stock, Komondors have few genetically linked problems. In particular, there is no evidence of the retinal eye problems found in other breeds, nor is there dwarfism or hereditary blood disorders
