In XIX centu­r­y, No­r­fo­l­k spa­niel­ wa­s r­eco­gniz­ed­ a­s u­niqu­e hunting dog in Engl­a­nd­. In the beginning o­f XX centu­r­y, the br­ea­d­ wa­s spl­it in two­: Wel­sh­ spr­inger­ spa­niel­ a­nd­ Engl­ish­ Spr­inger­ spa­niel­ (wh­ich­ we a­r­e ta­l­king a­bo­u­t to­d­a­y). Th­e br­ea­d­ wa­s o­fficia­l­l­y r­eco­gniz­ed­ in 1902 by Engl­ish­ Kennel­ Cl­u­b a­nd­ 25 yea­r­s l­a­ter­ by A­m­er­ica­n Kennel­ Cl­u­b.

Engl­ish­ Spr­inger­ Spaniel’s o­bjectiv­e wa­s to­ fo­r­ce the h­u­nt to­ l­ea­v­e h­is r­efu­ge. Th­is m­a­ke m­o­r­e fa­cil­e the hunting.
