This dog has as an ancestor the asiatic guard dog.The Buldog appeared in Great Britain at the beginning of the 19th century.Because of it`s crazy courage to fight till death,this dog was used in bloody sports like the
bull fight.They were also used against bears and other powerful beasts like lions.This way the dogs got to France an Belgium,brought by workers that got unemployed because of the modernization and retechnologicalization of the industry production.Through numerous mixes with other dog breeds were obtained what today represent a family pall and a show dog.
It is a small dog,powerful,short body,flat short nose,large and very strong lockjaw`s.It is grown to be faithful,very endearing and dedicated to the whole family.The Buldog is trustful,friendly and welcome in a family with children.
It will get along with other pets but will be mean and will try to intimidate other dogs.
They need a lot of attention coming from 
you.It is dominant when it`s about it`s food so you should be careful it will not be next to your favorite pets or children.The fur of this dog is straight,short and shiny.The Buldog can be brushed from time to time with a rough brush.Bath and shampooing is done only when it is necessary.
Health problems are generally regarded to it`s breathing,have a short anaesthesia.As they age they become more and more weaker,skin infections show up and problems of the hips and knees.They do not like extreme temperature and can suffer from heatstroke.
The training of these dogs must be done correctly, with a lot of patience and a lot of rewards.They are not receptive to harsh methods.Because they are really stubborn it is recommended that the training is done in the period they are little.
This dog can be taken to walks every day because it doesn`t oppose a lot, a leash is enough during it`s walk.
